Retirement and Money: Links for Canadians
It's all dollars and sense (well, not all dollars and sense, but you get what we’re sayin’). Here are some links that will give you a good perspective on what it takes (financially) to retire- and perhaps more importantly, where you stand.
GetSmarterAboutMoney.ca is a comprehensive site hosted by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) that "provides unbiased and independent financial tools to help you make better financial decisions".
The Canadian magazine Money Sense has no-nonsense articles about personal finances and money management, including lots of info about retirement issues. They no longer have a print edition; some good info is still online, but they have more comprehensive information through subscription.
Federal, provincial and some municipal information about programs available to seniors in Ontario.
Info about government and community services on the Province of Quebec's "website for seniors".
Federal site of the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada with solid financial advice and info.
Another Fed site with links to "Federal, provincial and territorial resources" for Seniors.
Hit and miss info by National Association of Federal Retirees.
Government of Canada programs and services, including Old Age Security and the Canada Pension Plan.
